10.5.2 Changing the DHCP settings

The DHCP Service on the router must be activated here. The DNS server can

also be defined.

 Network router

– Get IP automatically

The IP address can be obtained automatically if Solar-Log

1000

connected to an internet router which provides the DHCP service.

After saving and the restarting automatically, the new IP address is dis-

played accordingly. The Solar-Log

1000

can now be reached at this ad-

dress and it has automatic access to the internet.

– Gateway

The gateway is the router to which Solar-Log

1000

is connected. Its IP

address is entered here automatically, if the DHCP service is enabled

on the router.

 Alternate DNS server

In some networks, the DNS server is a separate address for resolving in-

ternet addresses, and is not the same as the internet router (gateway).

In this case, tick the checkbox and enter the IP address of the DNS server.

Procedure

1 Enter all the relevant data (see above list)

2 Touch Save, then Next to go to the next dialogue.
